Abstract

With the use of a velocity filter, the α-particle decays of U224 and U225 were studied in F19 bombardments of Bi209. The data obtained for these two isotopes are compared with those of previous investigators, and the α-decay rates of U222,224,226 are discussed within the context of partial α half-lives for even-even nuclei with Z≥84.
