Abstract
Excitation functions were measured for the (n,pSc reactions from threshold to 10.5 MeV. Use was made of the activation technique in combination with high-resolution γ-ray spectroscopy and anticoincidence counting. Nuclear model calculations using a computer code were performed for (n,p) reactions on . The experimental excitation functions are reproduced well by the calculation involving a fixed set of global parameters and only one variable parameter (‘‘pairing shift’’) to take account of the odd-even and nuclear structure effects in the target nuclei.
