Abstract

Nuclear-orientation measurements at temperatures down to ∼10 mK were performed on Au199, Pt191, and I131 in PtTe2. The electric-field gradients of Au, Pt, and I in PtTe2 were determined to be +5.6(0.6)×1017, +10(5)×1017, and -3.7(1.7)×1017 V/cm2, respectively.
