Abstract

Differential and total cross sections for the 10B(p, α0)7Be reaction at proton energies between 120 and 480 keV have been measured. The total cross section shows a weak structure at Ep∼390keV. The S-factors agree with those of Szabo et al., but disagree with those of Burcham and Freeman by a factor of 1.3 The S-factors in this energy region are predominantly due to the tail of the 0.01 MeV resonance. The thermonuclear reaction rates show large discrepancies when compared with those of Caughlan et al. and Roughton et al.
