7Li form factors in a microscopic cluster calculation

Abstract

Longitudinal and transverse electromagnetic form factors are calculated for the transitions into the three lowest 7Li states for momentum transfers q up to 5 fm−1 in the framework of the resonating group model. Most of the data are described well if the wave functions contain not only an α−t structure but also additional configurations. Mesonic effects yield only smaller corrections and lead to rather unspecific structures in the form factors at large momentum transfers.
