Abstract
A description of the even-even Pt isotopes for A=188 to 198 in the framework of the neutron-proton interacting boson model is carried out. By introducing a triaxial interaction into the Hamiltonian, the gamma band is improved. The calculated spectra agree well with experimental data. E2 transitions agree with experimental data. The magnetic dipole transition is calculated and compared with the available data.
