Abstract

The K-internal conversion coefficients of the 22+21+ and 23+21+ transitions in Cd110 and the 23+21+ transition in Cd112 have been measured. The available experimental information on K-conversion coefficients, mixing ratios E2/M1, and lifetimes for the 2i+2f+ transitions in Cd110,112,114 have been utilized to deduce the ratios B(E0)/B(E2), and B(E0)/B(M1) and the monopole strength parameter ρ2. The experimental data are compared to the theoretical values calculated in the framework of the interacting proton-neutron boson model. By exploiting also the available data on ρ2 for the 02+01+ transitions in these nuclei the boson effective charges in the E0 operator have been deduced.
