Abstract

Bremsstrahlung from tritium–rare-gas mixtures enclosed in low-permeability glass bulbs has been observed with a Si(Li) detector. The end point of the x-ray spectrum, 18 556(6) eV, implies a 33He atomic-mass difference of 18 595(6) eV.
