Finite particle number effect in high spin B(E2)'s

Abstract

The high spin B(E2)'s of deformed nuclei are discussed using the Fermion Dynamical Symmetry Model (FDSM). It can be shown that the loss of E2 collectivity and band termination are mainly due to a finite particle number effect in the collective subspace.
