Reaction cross sections for ν e13 N13 and ν ν13 C*13 for low energy neutrinos

Abstract

Cross sections for ν+13C reactions are calculated both for charged- and neutral-current reactions in order to estimate the efficiency of a C13 target as a solar neutrino detector. The relevant transition matrix elements are obtained using the semiphenomenological effective-operator approach for p-shell nuclei.
