Abstract

The D-state probability of the ground state of 4He has been calculated using the shell model with these eight N-N interactions: RSC, ARGONNE V14, TRSB, PARIS, SSC-B, SSC-C, URBANNA, BONN-OBEPR. The results range from about 9% to 17% for all interactions and from 10% to 15% for modern potentials. Our results are compared with other calculations that use these potentials where possible.
