Abstract

In a data-independent approach we have studied the 3He(d, p)4He and 3H(d, n)4He reactions at low multichannel resonating group model. In agreement with the data of Leemann et al. we find that the 3He(d, p)4He cross sections are not purely determined by the 3+2 resonance at ELab = 430 keV, but have also contributions from other partial waves. These contributions are noticeably smaller for the 3H(d, n)4He reaction.
