Abstract

Lower limits of the half-lives of the 2β-decays of 100Mo and 116Cd to the excited states of the daughter nuclei have been obtained, using a low-background HPGe detector surrounded by a NaI(TI) detector. In particular the following limits are obtained: 100Mo100Ru(21+): T12 (0ν + 2ν) > 1.4 × 1020yr, 100Mo100Ru(01+): T12 (0ν + 2ν) > 4.2 × 1019yr, 116Cd116Sn (21+): T12 (0ν + 2ν) > 1.7 × 1020yr.
