Comment on ‘‘Properties of intermediate width structure in C12(12C,12C)12C (02+)’’

Abstract

The analysis of the structure seen in heavy-ion inelastic scattering by Pate et al. is discussed. It is shown that the differential cross sections close to 90° indicate the importance of including lower angular momentum values in a partial wave decomposition than those considered by Pate et al.
