Abstract
Incomplete fusion reactions have been studied for the system at 10.8, 14.7, and 19.2 MeV/nucleon by measuring correlations between evaporation residues and α-particles. The exclusive evaporation residue mass distribution can be explained in a breakup fusion model where preequilibrium emission of one α-particle occurs. Complete fusion and incomplete fusion compete over a wide range of impact parameters in the entrance channel.
