Abstract

The description of p-shell orbitals in the A=14 nuclear system in terms of relativistic wave functions, which are solutions to the Dirac equation with strong scalar and vector potentials, provides a good description of the M1 form factors in N14 and the greatly suppressed C14 beta decay rate.
