Abstract

To seek for a possible way to determine ∑-nuclear interactions even in the case of a shallow nuclear potential and/or a strong ∑-Λ conversion, theoretical discussions are given on the formation of Coulomb-assisted hybrid bound states of ∑ in nuclei, where the short-range strongly absorptive potential coexists with the long-range Coulomb potential. Bound states of hybrid character of medium widths are predicted, which can well be populated in (stopped K, π+) reactions.
