Shell model predictions for 19N(β)19O

Abstract

The energy spectra and wave functions of N19 and O19 are calculated using a modification of the Millener-Kurath interaction. The results are used to predict the half-life and decay modes of both the allowed and first-forbidden β decays of N19. Comparison is made to recent experiments.
