The 2H(d, γ)4He reaction and the D-state of the alpha particle: A microscopic study☆

Abstract

In the framework of the microscopic multi-channel resonating group model the radiative capture reaction 2H(d, γ)4He is studied. Within this model the existing data can be explained well. We demonstrate that it is not simple to extract the D-state properties of the alpha particle from the data.
