Abstract

The low-spin states and intermediately high spin states below the second backbendings of N=88 isotones were studied in the interacting-boson-plus-one-fermion-pair model. It was found that the energy spectra can be reproduced quite well. The spectroscopic quadrupole moments of Dy154 were calculated and compared with the available experimental data. Both the backbending behavior and the decrease of the quadrupole moments at high spin states can be reproduced.
