Unambiguous imaginary potential in the optical-model description of light heavy-ion elastic scattering

Abstract

Shallow imaginary potentials (W0≊18–25 MeV) are found to be essential to describe various sets of elastic-scattering data for 1212C and 1216C at intermediate energies. This result does not show a continuous ambiguity. An energy-dependent Woods-Saxonshaped optical-model potential is presented for 60 MeV≲Ec.m.650 MeV.
