Excitation energy of the 1.74 MeV state in B10

Abstract

The energy of the 1022 keV gamma ray which follows the positron decay of C10 has been measured to be 1021.646±0.014 keV. This is a necessary step in an accurate determination of the ft value of the pure Fermi component of the decay.
