Abstract

The Na23(p,p0), (p,p1), (p,α0), and (p,α1) differential cross sections were measured in the energy range Ep=1.084.15 MeV with an overall resolution of 400 eV full width at half maximum. Resonance parameters were obtained for 94 levels with a multilevel, multichannel R-matrix code; parameters include resonance energy, total angular momentum, proton and alpha partial widths, and channel spin and orbital angular momentum mixing ratios. The observed proton and alpha resonance widths provide an upper limit for C12+12C reaction rates for an energy region where there are no direct measurements.
