Abstract

It is shown that the Landau-Zener transition mechanism due to the formation of molecular orbitals of the active neutron exists in the inelastic scattering C13(12C, C12)13C* (3.086 MeV, (1/2)+). The evidence stems from characteristic changes of the angular distributions observed as a function of the incident energy.
