Abstract

The energy and angular distributions of positive photopions emitted following the (e,π+) reaction on C12 and Li6 has been studied for the spin-dipole isovector states in the highly excited residual nuclei. These states are found at 7 MeV in B12 and 13.6, 17.7, and 24.0 MeV in He6, in close agreement with the theoretical estimates.
