Abstract

High-energy γ rays observed by Stevenson et al. in the reaction of 20-, 30-, and 40-MeV/nucleon N14+C and Pb are calculated from the Boltzmann master equation. The production of γ rays is included via a semiclassical np bremsstrahlung calculation. Good agreement is found in shape and magnitude between calculated and experimental results.
