Abstract
The E0 and E2 transitions depopulating the O2+ and O3+ states in the N=88-90 nuclei 150,152Sm have been studied using conversion-electron and gamma -ray spectroscopy. The level energies and the B(E2), rho 2(E0) and Xijk (E0/E2) values have been calculated on the IBA-1 model and compared with the experimental data and the PPQM results of Kumar (1974). The present data qualitatively agree with the suggested shape-coexistence interpretation of the even-mass Sm isotopes.
