The cross sections for the ${}_{}{}^6{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Li}(\mathrm{n},\alpha x)$ and ${}_{}{}^7{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Li}(\mathrm{n},\alpha x)$ reactions have been measured by the detection of $\alpha$ particles in coincidence with other charged particles ($x$). Prominent structures in the coincident $\alpha$-particle energy spectra have been observed only in the case of ${}_{}{}^7{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Li}$. They could be attributed to the processes involving the states of ${}_{}{}^4{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{H}$.
