Abstract

Using the effective pion propagator approximation, the two-body pion exchange current contributions to the form factor of the inelastic electron scattering from closed-shell nuclei are explicitly calculated in terms of nuclear densities (nucleon density, kinetic energy density, . . .). The electroexcitation of some high-spin magnetic stretched states in O16 and Pb208 is studied to illustrate our approach, and the goodness of the agreement with the exact results is discussed.
