Abstract

An attempt is made to isolate the dependence of previously measured non-analog double-charge-exchange cross sections on neutron number N and mass number A. If A-dependence is forced to be A103 the data require N-dependence to be N2eff, where Neff = N − N0 and N0 ∼2 for 12C, 16O, 24Mg but N0 ∼ 5 for 28Si, 32S, 40Ca.
