Reaction Li6(e,e'd)4He and the αd Momentum Distribution in the Ground State of Li6

Abstract

The αd momentum distribution in the ground state of Li6 has been measured in parallel kinematics with the reaction Li6(e,e'd)4He in the momentum range 0<pm<270 MeV/c. The reaction can be described by a direct coupling of the virtual photon to a deuteron in Li6. The results agree well with the predictions of a three-body αNN model of Li6.
