Abstract

An attempt is made to clarify some of the areas of disagreement concerning recent distorted-wave impulse approximation calculations of the sup12C(πsup+,2p) reaction. In the absence of detailed exclusive data, it is argued that the identification of the broad ‘‘background’’ reported remains uncertain.
