Abstract

The distorted-wave Born approximation parameter D2 is calculated for 6Li→α+d from three-body models of Li6. It is shown that the usual approximation of D2 by the ratio of the D-wave to S-wave asymptotic normalization constants breaks down in this case. Because of the model dependence of D2, its empirical determination should serve as a constraint on Li6 three-body models.
