Abstract

An OAI-like mapping procedure is used to explicitly construct sd shell model analogues of IBM-4 states corresponding to the lowest levels of 20Ne and 20O. Overlaps with shell model SU(3) wavefunctions are evaluated. The “boson” subspace is generally well separated but has a low overlap with the “20Ne” 02+ band.
