NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²⁴Sn(⁴⁸Ca, 3n), (⁴⁸Ca, 4n), (⁴⁸Ca, 5n), E=201 MeV; measured E(γ), γγ-coin, γ(θ). ¹⁵⁴Sm(¹⁸O, 4n), E=78 MeV; measured γ(θ); deduced static neutron-pair correlations. ^167,168Yb deduced levels, J, π, rotational bands. Cranking-model, and gauge-space analysis.
