Abstract

In a self-consistent cranked Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov calculation, after the vanishing of pairing correlations, alignment of neutron pairs is seen in the i132 and i112 subshells at I=30 and 34 for Yb172 and Yb174, respectively. In Yb170 at I=42, proton alignment occurs in the h112 and h92 subshells. These structural changes are also reflected in the g factors.
