Abstract
The tensor analyzing power of the reaction has been measured at six angles at MeV. The result is found to be isotropic with a value of . This analyzing power arises from the interference of and capture amplitudes. Since the reaction proceeds predominantly via radiation, the capture strength can be attributed to , ground-state admixtures. A heuristic model calculation has been used to show that a 4.8% -state admixture in the two-deuteron wave function describing can account for the observed .
