Scattering of polarized tritons near 10 MeV: Possible giant multipole resonance effects

Abstract

Recently published data and optical model analysis of polarized triton scattering near 10 MeV show important variations of the spin-orbit potential. It is shown here that they appear to be correlated with giant multipole resonances of the compound nucleus.
