Abstract

The absolute C12(γ,p0)B11 cross section was measured in the energy region of the giant dipole resonance. The magnitude of our 90° differential cross section, which has an absolute uncertainty of about 12%, is in disagreement with the one obtained by detailed balance from a recent (p,γ0) measurement, but is in reasonable correspondence with the combined data from the Argonne and Stanford groups.
