Abstract

It is shown that the elastic scattering of C12 + C12 in the center-of-mass energy range 6<E<31 MeV exhibits forward glory enhancement. Semiclassical analysis of the quantity ΔσTσRdσRuthdΩdσeldΩ dΩ indicates that the best candidate for a C12 + C12 interaction potential is a small-radius, deep Woods-Saxon potential, in qualitative agreement with the results obtained from recent analyses of dσe1dΩ done at higher energies.
