Abstract
A model is developed which accounts for the observed momentum shift of 10-50 MeV/c between experimental results and distorted wave impulse approximations. Kinematical effects of the binding energy and the Fermi momentum in reactions of the type are considered to be responsible for the shift. Several examples are discussed.
