Abstract

It is shown that the low-energy π−4He-scattering data can be described quantitatively by taking into account the contribution from the pion absorption channel in the framework of the unitary potential approach. The results indicate an approximate constancy of the absorptive parameters in the low-energy range from 0 to 50 MeV.
