Abstract

Inclusive cross sections for energetic protons emitted at backward angles were measured using a 200 MeV proton beam bombarding Li6,Al27, Ni58, and Au197 targets. The data were analyzed using the quasi-two-body scaling approach. It is shown that a scaling regime is reached for some of the data taken at incident energies of about 200 MeV/nucleon. This regime, however, is different from the one observed above 600 MeV/nucleon.
