Abstract

Delayed neutron emission probabilities, Pn, have been measured for Sr98,99, Yg,m97, Yg96, Y99, Ba147, and La147,148. This is the first reported measurement for Ym97. Upper limits to the Pn for Sr97, Ba146,148, and La146 were established. The Pn values measured here are much smaller than a set of published measurements. Calculations of total delayed neutron yields from fission are consistent with experimental measurements of total delayed neutron yields except for fast neutron fission of U238. Improved half-lives are reported for 13 of the Rb, Sr. Y, Cs, Ba, and La nuclides at masses 97-99 and 146-148.

RADIOACTIVITY Rb9799, Sr9799, Y9799, Cs146,147, Ba147,148, La147,148 [from U235(n, f)]; measured t12, Pn; on-line mass separation, n, β multiscaling.
