Abstract

The alpha amplitudes are calculated for various low-lying positive parity states of Ne20. It is shown that the results obtained from the oscillator with equal size parameter (ω=ω) are singular ones. They are, in general, not reproduced in the limit ωω. The proper consideration of this point leads to new results. In particular, the SU(3) states |(λ, μ) with μ0 may have nonvanishing alpha amplitudes.
