Abstract

The feasibility of Br81 as the detector of the solar neutrino flux hinges upon the knowledge of the Gamow-Teller matrix element from the ground state of Br81 to the 52 state at 0.457 MeV in Kr81. The possibility of obtaining this matrix element is discussed in terms of the (p, n) and (He3, t) charge exchange reactions.
