Abstract

The differential cross sections for the reactions 16O+, π+p)15N(6.32 MeV) and 16O+, π+n)15O(6.18 MeV) are measured with a 2.0 GeV/c pion beam in a π+γ coincidence experiment. Calculations in the framework of the unified theory of nuclear disintegration are in qualitative agreement with the experimental data.
