Abstract

Methods and results of the 3He(e, e′p) reaction cross section measurements are presented for initial energies Ei = 806 and 643 MeV and scattering angles θe = 31° and 28° of electrons with energy resolutions of 4 and 2.6 MeV, respectively. The measured angular (θp = 47.5°–72.5° and 54°–72°) and momentum (qR = ± 100 MeV/c) distributions of protons for two- and three-body disintegration of 3He are compared with model and exact calculations using different 3He ground-state wave functions.

It is found that the best description for the distributions is provided by the Irving model wave function calculation and by the exact Yamaguchi potential calculation with the Tabakin parameters. It is shown that Koltun's sum rule does not hold in the 3He(e, e′p)d reaction.
