Abstract

Proton emission from Λ-stable coherent (K, π) hypernuclear excitations populates low-lying levels in the daughter hypernucleus, which subsequently decay by γ radiation. The calculation of relative yields for such proton emission is outlined and illustrated for O16 and N14, and the significance of the corresponding γ lines in NΛ15 and CΛ13 is discussed.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE Hypernuclei; gamma transitions in light hypernuclei; spin dependence of ΛN interaction.
