Abstract

We discuss the tangible consequences of the existence of Pauli forbidden states of relative motion of two nuclei for the nucleus-nucleus interaction. The ranges of the influence of the Pauli forbidden states are tabulated for the systems C12-C12,13,14, C14-C14, C12,14-O16, O16-O16, α-Si28, and α-Ca40.
